Final Draft is the choice of professional screenwriters and filmmakers around the world.  The winner of the Best Screenplay award for the West Texas Film Festival receives a copy of Final Draft software.

InkTip: Where producers go for scripts and writers. The winners of the West Texas Film Festival Best Screenplay and Best TV Pilot awards will receive an InkTip Script Listing to promote themselves and their scripts to InkTip’s entire network of producers, managers, and agents.

Texas Film Commission

The Texas Film Commission (TFC) is a media partner with the West Texas Film Festival. 


Created in 1971 by Texas Governor Preston Smith, who found that it was, “in the social, economic and educational interest of Texas to encourage the development of the film-communication industry”. Since then, the TFC has expanded to include the television, commercial, video game, animation and visual effects industries.
